Hi
On your webpage http://www.antaike.com/gj/dd3.asp you refer to the Chinese Primary Aluminum Market Study to be published in 2005. Is this publication now available?
Thanks

Previously, I found a table of the annual production capacity RANKING of China steel companies in Antaike. Unfortunately, I couldn't find them now. Could you please tell me the link how to get the information. (2006-3-17) |
|
Re: You can find them in the statistics of carbon steel. They are Chinese Ten Key Steel Enterprises' Output before Febuary. We have not obtained data of Febuary, and we will put them to the web as soon as we get them! Any requests, please email yangxiaofei@antaike.com. Thanks!

Regarding my question of 24 February, whereby you advise Liuzhou Longcheng produced 13995t in 2005. If I look back through the statistics, the July table shows cumulative 16162t and the September one shows 22888t. With the production apparently building up steadily through the year at a 30000t/a rate, the total 13995t for the year looks odd?

Re: Dear Mr. Bill Hunter, we checked with Longcheng Chemical and we were told they halted production since Aug. last year, and also they adjusted the yearly production to 16,162 tonnes. Thanks! Shiela |

You report a table of the top 25 zinc smelters' production. The problem is that, as production has expanded, there are now more than 25 smelters of importance. Furthermore, some smelters have a temporary production reduction and they disappear without trace. Thus Liuzhou Longcheng used to be important (No8 in 2004, LME registered etc) but has gone away with no mention. What has happened to Shaanxi Xingwang?
My question is "Why is the NBS is only interested in 25 for its table? Is there something magical about 25? Or could it be extended to reflect how the industry has changed over recent years?"
William Hunter (2006-2-24) |
|
Re: Dear Mr. William Hunter, maybe there is misunderstanding about NBS data. NBS releases data of most zinc smelters whether they are big or small. But usually we only report the top 20-30 zinc smelters which are believed to be important. If you want to know other smelters' data,we'd like to send them to you. As for Liuzhou Longcheng and Shaanxi Xingwang, there production in 2005 was 13,995t and 5,319t, ranking the 43 and 83 place in China. |
