Beijing, May 31(Antaike)-On May 19, 2021, PT Halamahera Persada Lygend (PT Lygend)'s OBI HPAL project successfully produced the first batch of Nickel cobalt hydroxide product. So far, the PT. HPAL project with total investment of $1.05bln was officially put into production.

PT. Lygend is a joint-venture by Lygend and Indonesia's famous Harita Group. After being commissioned, the project will realize an annual output of 160kt of cell grade nickel sulfate and 20kt of cobalt sulfate.

Lygend, founded in Jan, 2009, then became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zhejiang Lygend Investment Co., Ltd. and it is mainly engaged in upstream nickel laterite investment and mining, midstream nickel ore trade and shipping, and downstream nickel ore smelting, and equipment manufacturing.
