Antaike, Jun.24 (Beijing)-On June 22, SVOLT Energy Technology (SVOLT) signed an agreement with Government of Nanjing Lishui Development Zone, planning to invest 5.6 billion yuan in the construction of a power battery production base with a total capacity of 14.6GWh.

It is sourced that the project is divided into two phases, of which the first phase is expected to invest 2.6 billion yuan, with a planned capacity of 6.6GWh. The first phase is to acquire local idle battery workshops and land and carry out investment transformation, which is expected to be put into production in November. The second phase is expected to invest about 3 billion yuan and the production capacity is planned to be 8GWh. In addition, SVOLT intends to arrange its HEV soft pack battery and other projects in Lishui.

Currently SVOLT has announced power battery production bases in Changzhou, Saarland, Germany, Huzhou, Suining, Maanshan and Lishui, with a total investment of 54.1 billion yuan and a corresponding capacity of 124.6GWh.
