This week Baosteel Desheng Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. changed half of its production capacity to carbon steel, leading to a drop in overall output. In addition, Taishan Steel Group Co., Ltd. also switched to carbon steel production. The 300 series output of Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd. increased significantly, pushing up the growth of domestic 300 series output.
Antaike predicts the stainless steel output will still have a slight drop in June as some stainless steel mills are still producing carbon steel.
