Antaike, Jul.14 (Beijing)-It is resourced that Gotion Hi-Tech (or Gotion) and Volkswagen Group reached a strategic cooperation framework agreement in the form of online signing on July 12. The two sides decided to jointly promote the industrial production of batteries in the Salzgitter plant of Volkswagen Group, and Gotion will provide corresponding technical support. At the same time, Hefei Gotion has also entered into an agreement with Volkswagen (China) to develop the first-generation standard cell for its regular production models.

According to the agreement, Gotion High-Tech as a technology partner, will jointly work with Volkswagen Group to optimize the production layout, equipment deployment and production process in the Volkswagen Group Salzgitter plant, so as to accelerate the realization of the industrial production of electric cells. And they will jointly develop the first battery application case using a standard cell for Volkswagen Group's regular production models. Gotion Hi-Tech became the first designated developer to win the R&D contract from Volkswagen.
