Beijing, Jul. 2(Antaike)-Zhangjiagang Pohang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. (PZSS) announced that it raked in an operating profit of $38mln in the second quarter of 2021, sharply higher than $8mln in the same period of 2020 and $20mln in Q1 of 2021. The big growth was mainly because the rising demand in the fields of automobile and white household appliances, pushing up prices (the average price increased by about 6% month on month) and the use of low-cost raw materials.

PZSS also said in its Q2 finical report that it generated sales revenue of $824mln, an increase of 27.4% y-o-y and 7.7% m-o-m, respectively.

PZSS is a professional manufacturer of stainless steel. It is a Sino-foreign joint venture jointly established by Jiangsu Shagang Group and POSCO, Korea.
